Bharat Griha Raksha Policy

Bharat Griha Raksha is a comprehensive Standard Fire and Special Perils policy designed to safeguard against a wide array of risks, including fire, natural disasters (such as storms, cyclones, floods, earthquakes), impact damage, riots, terrorism, and more.

This policy not only covers the structure of the home but also automatically extends coverage to general home contents without requiring detailed declaration, up to 20% of the building’s sum insured or a maximum of Rs. 10 Lakhs. Policyholders also have the option to increase coverage for general contents by providing additional details.

Additionally, Bharat Griha Raksha offers two optional covers:

• Insurance for Valuable Contents like Jewelry and Collectibles.
• Personal Accident coverage for the insured and their spouse resulting from an insured peril under the policy.

Moreover, this policy allows for claims even in cases of underinsurance, meaning if the declared sum insured is less than the property’s actual value, the claim will be settled up to the declared sum insured at the time of policy purchase.
