Raising a Claim

To file a claim under a Home Insurance policy, you can follow these steps:

  • Notify the insurance provider by calling the dedicated round-the-clock toll-free number as soon as possible after the incident occurs.
  • Once the First Information Report (FIR) is filed and the insurance provider is informed, provide all relevant information about the purchased policy and the damage incurred.
  • After the claim request is made, it undergoes validation and verification by the insurance provider. Subsequently, the claim settlement request is forwarded to the Claims department of the specific insurance company.
  • Within approximately 48 hours, a surveyor is dispatched to assess the damage or loss and prepares a report accordingly.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are submitted to the surveyor. The surveyor then compiles the Final Survey report, along with the required documents, within 7 days, which is subsequently submitted to the insurance provider.
